2024 Year in Review

Starting the Journey
2024 was a milestone year for Melrose, what started as a napkin sketch in January led to the Melrose platform processing imports and exports across the United States. From LA to Seattle and New York we couldn't be more excited to partner with operators to tackle the chaos of logistics.
Highlights from 2024
While it still feels like the first day, 2024 saw the launch of our first 3 product modules:
- AI Delivery Order Parsing: Exponentially optimize how quickly your team can process delivery orders with an AI first solution to convert images, pdfs and documents into orders in your TMS.
- EDI Platform: Seamlessly go from TMS’s and unstructured into an EDI integration.
- Automated Workflows: Reducing human intervention in repetitive tasks to supercharge operational efficiency.
Visualizing Our Impact
We created a video visualization to celebrate the journey of every shipment processed this year. The visualization, built using our internal tools on deck.gl with inspiration from kepler.gl, showcases:
- Orders being parsed, from pickup to drop-off.
- Growth in major cities like LA, Seattle, and New York.
- Dynamic traffic patterns that highlight the scale of operations.
Driving Industry Change
At the end of the day, Melrose isn't about moving shipments —it's about transforming how teams work and empowering operators. In 2024, we:
- Automated teams to process documents faster than ever.
- Built workflows that eliminated repetitive manual tasks.
- Integrated with multiple TMS systems to simplify operations.
- Partnered with flagship accounts to bring automation in house, we still cant believe some of the automations being built on the platform.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Our mission for 2025 is clear: continue pushing the boundaries of AI and automation in logistics. We're expanding into air, sea, and global operations while doubling down on stopping repetitive tasks with smarter workflows.

US Reciprocal Tariffs
The U.S. is shifting to what it calls a reciprocal tariff system. Instead of continuing with lower, flat-rate tariffs, it’s now basing duties on how other countries treat American goods — even if that means going far above previous WTO averages.
